Since the founding of Ronald McDonald House Charities Ukraine, McDonald’s has been our largest corporate benefactor.
All of the company’s charitable initiatives are directed toward supporting our mission—helping seriously ill children and their families stay together in the most difficult moments.
This time, as part of the now-iconic Helping Hand initiative, the McDonald’s team organized a charity auction at the office. Not just an event, but a story about people and for people. Most of the lots were created or brought by employees themselves. And each one put something very personal and heartfelt into them. 
70 unique lots, filled with warmth, kindness, and the desire to help children. Homemade tiramisu and honey, prepared with love. Knitted items and soy candles, made by hand. Cinnabon-style rolls baked by little benefactors—the employees’ children. A coaching session with the McDonald’s General Director and a tennis lesson. Rare items from family archives, filled with memory and stories. And items that are only just becoming the beginning of a family story—like a book autographed by Lina Kostenko, and much more.
66 caring individuals and a shared desire to support those who need it most. Together in one day, they raised 296,275 UAH for the construction of the Ronald McDonald House—a home where parents will be able to live close to their seriously ill children during treatment.
