McDonald's in Ukraine is a founding partner and the largest corporate benefactor of Ronald McDonald House Ukraine, supporting the organization since it began operations in 2016. Together with employees and customers, the company helps develop programs that enable families to stay close to their children during treatment. In particular, McDonald's conducts annual charitable campaigns, such as "Hand of Happiness," with all proceeds going to support Family Rooms in children's hospitals and the construction of Ukraine's first Ronald McDonald House on the grounds of Ohmatdyt.
The United States Agency for International Development (USAID) and the Ronald McDonald House announced a four-year partnership program worth $12 million USD. The goal of the partnership is to support the development of a family-centered approach to treating children in Ukraine. The collaboration is designed to increase knowledge and understanding of the importance of family-centered care principles in Ukraine's healthcare system. This will also allow the Foundation to increase support for families whose children are undergoing treatment and save them tens of millions of hryvnias on food and accommodation.
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Ukraine provided financial support for the establishment of the Ronald McDonald House Family Room at the Rivne Regional Children's Hospital. It also financially supported the humanitarian programs Food Packages and Medical Equipment.
