When the world around you suddenly changes because of a child’s illness, it feels as though the ground is slipping away beneath your feet. And it’s in moments like these that small things restore a sense of calm and control.
Our Support Kits are care packages for families who find themselves in the hospital unexpectedly. They contain everything needed for the first hours: wet wipes, towels, toothbrushes and toothpaste, shampoo, soap, and other small essentials that help families catch their breath and take care of themselves.
And how heartwarming it is to know that we are not alone in this. Our incredible friends at Apteka 9-1-1 are people with big hearts who have been by our side for many years. This time they donated toothpaste for our kits, so that even in the hospital, families can maintain their familiar little rituals and feel cared for.
